The Olight M20 Crimson has an XPE R2 Red LED made to enhance night vision. The red light provides great contrast and is not visible to the human eye over long distances. Red light also works well with night vision scopes and goggles. Photographers use red colored light when doing night-time photography, and red light is also helpful in night-time map reading. Red light cuts through smoke better than white light, and it is used by police and military units in night operations because it will not interfere with night vision technology.
